The TYLT Lab team members are entrepreneurs with varied backgrounds and experience, deep domain knowledge, passion for growing companies, and a strong inclination to innovate.
Rami is a Managing Director and Founder of TYLT Lab. He is a veteran entrepreneur and investor, with a long track record of success building highly successful communications and product companies. He is founder and CEO of Technocel Wireless Products, American Investment Group, and formerly Information Control Company. He holds a BS in management from Cal State Northridge.
Gerard N. Casale
Gerard is a Managing Director and Founder of TYLT lab. He is a seasoned entrepreneur having founded, invested in and operated many startups over the past decade [Tawlk.com, VMS Holdings and others] and has led and participated in over $1 billion of capital formation over the past 22 years. In 2000, Gerard founded X-Laboratories, a technology development company in partnership with Hughes, Boeing, GM and Raytheon which was sold in 2003. Previously, Gerard was partner in two prominent Los Angeles-based law firms where he dedicated his focus on M&A and IPO’s of middle market companies.
Gerard’s mission at TYLT lab is to search the globe for the brightest people who think differently and are dedicated to creating results.
Outside of investing and developing companies, Gerard is serious about education and in 2010 was part of the founding board of the Crown Preparatory Academy in South Los Angeles, a model charter school sponsored by the Walton Family Foundation. He holds a BA in Economics from Fairfield University and a JD from the Pepperdine University School of Law.
Shamin is a Principal at TYLT Lab. Her range of industry experience includes the food and lifestyle, hospitality, entertainment, government, financial services, and non-profit sectors. Fluent in four languages, she has broad international experience and background as an attorney in IP litigation. She is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and serves as a mentor with the Fulfillment Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through education. She serves as an adjunct professor teaching Entrepreneurial Finance at Loyola Marymount University, holds a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a JD from Loyola Law School.
Terence is an Associate for TYLTLab. He previously worked in Operations and Lending at Cathay Bank. Terence holds a BA from Syracuse University with a major in International Relations and an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business.
